EXT. ON THE WAY TO GLILOT – DAY
A huge column of the Iraqi army, which includes tanks and armored vehicles, is parked chaotically on the road leading from the Morasha intersection to Gelilot. Yehoshua and Eli steer their vehicles into the only free lane of what used to be a bustling highway with four lanes each way.
Eliran and Raya hang an old and tattered blanket that Yehoshua found for them so that they are more or less hidden from prying eyes. Liat and Dina, on the other hand, who are sitting in the other car with Eli, shrink in their veils when soldiers sitting on the tanks or just walking around bored, peering curiously inside of their car.
In the end, Yehoshua and Eli manage to cross the front line of the Iraqi forces, not before an Iraqi officer calls out to Yehoshua.
IRAQI OFFICER
The Americans blocked the intersection and the road leading to the heart of Tel Aviv. They only allow Palestinians to pass.
YEHOSHUA
We will try to pass anyway, after all we are diplomatic representatives and we have a meeting with Barghouti.
He salutes the Iraqi officer and he salutes him back and says.
