YEHOSHUA (VOICE OVER)
As usual, I coordinated my arrival with Eli. As always, from his house we will proceed to the recruitment center of our unit in the north of the country at the Golani junction. For years we have been known in our unit as an inseparable pair. We have been serving together in the same unit for about twenty years.
When Yehoshua arrives at Eli's house, he stands in the doorway of the apartment building with his backpack, in his uniform.
YEHOSHUA
I thought I'd say hello to your wife.
Eli approaches the jeep that has stopped and opens the door. He throws his backpack into the back trunk and enters the cabin.
ELI
There is no time, we are late.
He slams the jeep door. They hug in the cabin. Yehoshua looks at Eli.
YEHOSHUA
The clothes barely fit you.
ELI
Good years of livelihood, Coffee, cakes and lunches with my clients doing their thing.
Eli looks at his figure and squeezes his rounded waist.
ELI
I feel like a duck with metal rings around it.
