They part and Eli rushes his wife and daughter to start running down the village back to the main road. They are moving along the main street in the shadows of the houses and now, not trying to hide at all but simply escaping as quickly as possible from the village.
A few minutes after they set off, many commotions are already heard coming from the direction of Ataf's house. It doesn't take long before they see to their astonishment, only about two hundred meters up the hill, a large patch of fire is waving over the houses and they know that Ataf's house is now in flames. Ataf's son runs in vain among the burners and pleads with tears for them to stop.
