EXT. FIRST LIGHT. THE SECOND TUNNEL OPENING
The group of androids stands behind Leroy, still feeling uncertain under their new and unfamiliar leader. Tom and Lara stand by the tracks, emerging from the tunnel. A dry valley stretches out before them, nestled between two mountains. They hold numerous canteens and two large baskets of food, as much as they can carry.
TOM
We wish you success.
LEROY
Find your love. Fight for it.
He leans over and gently kisses Lara, who reciprocates, embracing his broad neck with her hands. Leroy then hugs Tom.
TOM
I'll always remember you.
They descend along the track leading from the mountain to the valley below. Leroy's gaze follows them intently. After a while, he turns and walks, with the newly formed gang following him like sheep following a shepherd.
EXT. DAY. WILERNESS VALLEY
Tom and Lara walk alone through the desert, following the track route.
EXT. EVENING. DESERT
Tom and Lara persist in walking even as the sun sets.
EXT. DAY. WILDERNESS VALLEY
Tom and Lara walk slowly through the barren desert, their lips parched and on the verge of dehydration. They veer a few dozen meters away from the tracks, walking parallel to them. They find themselves in a vast valley, with minimal shade from the sun. When they arrive there, Tom suddenly sits on a rock, both of them exhausted, their faces red and sweaty.
Lara retrieves the water canteen hanging from her back and shakes it, but there is barely any sound as the water is nearly depleted. She opens the canteen and brings it close to Tom's mouth. Helplessly, he opens his mouth, and the last drops trickle down his throat.
