Tom, a young man, is seated alone in front of the television.
INT. DAY. TELEVISION SCREEN
On the television screen, a title briefly appears: "History of the New Time, Course #27", followed by another title: "The principles on which the android society was founded." An instructor in an orange jumpsuit, who is fat and not photogenic, then appears on the screen and immediately begins her lecture without any introductions.

Professor Shain's invention caused a stir in the world and paved the way for the outbreak of World War. This occurred at a time when the Reproduction Law became a matter of debate in the developed cultural world. The world was divided in two: those in favor of the law and those opposed to it. The opponents believed that creating clones would disrupt natural law and go against divine command that prohibits man from interfering in the creation process. On the other hand, many supporters saw reproduction as a way to "free" oneself and "trick" nature. They believed that man has the ability to create a "reserve bank" of clones of himself or make periodic backups of their memories, knowledge, and health status every few years.
EXT. DAY. PROTEST
A multitude of people stage a silent protest, holding signs with large pictures of their loved ones. Part of the crowd holds signs that read, "Allow us to resurrect our loved ones" and "We will not stay quiet for the sake of our loved ones."

The option to revive a deceased loved one in the form of an android has captivated the attention of many individuals in the populace. The availability of affordable cloning has resulted in the rapid expansion of both legal and illegal android banks to an extensive scale.

The façade of a huge office building stands in the heart of a beautiful park, with fountains, huge lawns, and rich vegetation in front of it. At the entrance of the building, there is a grandiose and bright sign that reads "Clones Ltd."
