EXT. DAY. AT THE GATEWAY OF AN IMMENSE MOSQUE

Emerging from the mosque on a summer day, a vast crowd assembles, forming a sea of raised swords, while their ecstatic screams fill the air. Across from them, a muezzin stands and raises his voice in a resounding cry.

THE MUEZZIN

May death befall the heretical rationalists!

THE MASSES (IN RESPONSE)

May death befall the heretical rationalists!

ANDROID INSTRUCTOR (VOICE OVER)

Within numerous segments of the population and across less technologically advanced regions, extremist religious factions gained prominence. They embarked on a holy war, invoking the name of God, as a response to the transgression of the prophetic commandments. Their opposition was directed towards the "new heretics" who are presently referred to as "the rationalists."

EXT. DAY. VAST EXPANSE OF VERDANT TERRAIN

Across a fertile emerald plain nestled amidst towering mountains, columns of armored vehicles advance. Amidst towering mountains, a fertile green plain plays host to advancing armored columns. Simultaneously, a multitude of helicopters hover above, creating a grand display of military might. Alongside the road, three children stand: a girl cradles a doll, a young boy has his finger inserted into his nostril, and a slightly older boy, wearing a somber expression, stands between them with hands resting on their shoulders. From the tank turrets, heads of young, enthusiastic individuals emerge, their smiles radiating with anticipation and unawareness of the horrors of war. They raise their hands in a V sign, symbolizing victory. The deafening noise of the helicopters fills the sky, accompanied by the steady hum of their engines.

ANDROID INSTRUCTOR

Most individuals at the time strongly believed that they should be permitted to generate duplicates as a backup, even though it was apparent to all that the world would soon be inundated with frozen clones.

END FLASH BACK

Lara and Tom are seated on chairs fastened to the floor along the edge of the airborne container. Positioned between windows that offer a limited view for the pilot, they are joined by a young bald android in an orange jumpsuit, situated at the center of the compartment. Tom and Lara occupy seats on either side of the android, adjacent to the walls. The container breathes steadily, its windows providing the pilot with a partial field of view.
