THE LEADER (showing his teeth)
What makes you think I will allow you to leave?
TOM (emerging from the water):
Who are you, anyway?
Suddenly, the leader jumps into the water near Tom and grabs his throat, causing him to choke and groan in pain.
LEADER
When we escaped into the desert, (wearing a devilish smile) after eliminating the inspector who tried to kill us, we all swore an oath. We will serve no one but ourselves. Neither humans nor androids. We exist here solely for our own benefit.
The leader pushes Tom into the water and lets out a rough laugh as Tom sinks completely below the surface. Tom struggles to get back up, gasping for air, still choking and coughing from the leader's painful grip. Tom rises to his feet, enduring the struggle of lifting his head above the water, while he continues to choke and cough, his breathing compromised by the leader's tight grip on his throat.
The androids around them laugh but allow Tom and Lara to rise from the water. Feeling embarrassed, they accept their wet clothes and put them on while everyone stares at them without tact.
INT. AFTERNOON. TUNNEL ENTEANCE
Tom gazes desperately at the tracks where their trolley stands, now completely empty. All their food, water containers, and mattresses have been stolen and disappeared. The group leads them inside, and they quickly disappear into the darkness of the tunnel.
THE LEADER (instructing one of the members)
You! Guard the entrance.
INT. AFTENOON. INSIDE THE TUNNEL
They walk deeper into the tunnel, where the darkness grows increasingly intense. After a few dozen meters, when the darkness becomes almost total, the individuals around them push them into a narrow alcove in the wall. They navigate through a small corridor until they reach a small hall illuminated by torchlight.
INT. IN THE HALL. ILLUMINATED BY FIRE
In the center of the hall, two members of the group are already hunched over, swiftly lighting a small bonfire. The rest of the group huddles in their respective corners, while Lara and Tom stand there, feeling embarrassed in their wet clothes and shivering from the cold, uncertain where to sit. The leader is already seated near the fire, leaning against a wall.
