INT. DAY. DOCTOR'S OFFICE IN THE HOSPITAL

The professor's office is adorned with a wall filled with books, while a second wall showcases vibrant holograms of the human body. As they enter, the professor is positioned near a window. As they enter, Lara, pale and moving with caution, leans on her mother for support. The professor's face brightens with joy upon spotting their arrival, prompting him to turn away from the window and approach them.

PROFESSOR

Please come in.

Mother and daughter settle into armchairs facing the professor's large table, while he sits in the armchair opposite them.PROFESSOR

Lara, let me get straight to the point. We have a proposition to offer you, to compensate for what you recently lost. We want to give you the opportunity to "give birth" (hesitating) in a different way, although it's not in the traditional sense.

LARA (taking deep breaths, preparing herself for the worst)

I understand.

PROFESSOR

You've probably heard of the term "cloning." It involves duplicating an egg and implanting it into a surrogate's uterus. Eventually, a child with identical features to the original egg's mother is born. However, cloning has its drawbacks. It requires the implantation process and a waiting period until the clone is born and can be raised. This is a time-consuming and resource-intensive approach. As a result, cloning has mostly remained in the experimental phase and has not been widely commercialized, except for the illicit clone industry catering to wealthy individuals with megalomaniac tendencies. However, we've made significant advancements in reproductive technology in recent years.

Using this new process, we can create a perfect biological clone for you. The final stage of the cloning process involves resuscitating the duplicate through electric shocks. (pauses) According to the reproduction law passed recently (with a bitter smile), creating clones capable of reproduction is prohibited. However, considering your reproductive organs have been destroyed, and after discussing it with your parents, friends, and teachers, we concluded that your positive qualities align with this recommendation. We suggest you actively participate in the reproduction process. While you won't give birth in the conventional way, you will become the mother of hundreds of daughters, all identical to you and your current age. They will resemble you in every aspect, just like you were on the day of the cloning.
