INT. DAY. AT THE FOOT OF POFESSOR SHAIN'S STATUE
The priest guides them along the corridor until they emerge into a vast patio, an inner courtyard nestled within the temple. n the center of the courtyard stands an old hut, encircled by the towering walls of the temple. A narrow courtyard surrounds the hut, adorned with delicate white gravel paths, flowers, and well-maintained vegetation. A meticulously maintained fence made of pruned and manicured cypress trees encloses the hut and courtyard, seemingly shielding them from the towering walls of the temple that loom menacingly nearby. An elderly gardener in a white jumpsuit, with a hunched back, passes by them, pushing a wheelbarrow carrying gardening tools. Tiny channels of running water create gentle splashes along the paths. As they approach the entrance to the hut, an android dressed in an orange jumpsuit stands there and guides them Int.
INT. DAY. AT PROFESSOR SHAIN'S HOME
The modest hut's floor is adorned with worn-out carpets in varying shades of red, including burgundy and brown. Small cabinets placed along the walls hold numerous incense sticks, emitting fragrant smoke into the air. There is a landscape painting created by an anonymous artist, an aged beige armchair, and a small wooden table beside it. On the table rests an empty ashtray that once held Professor Shain's smoking pipe. On the opposite wall, a TV hangs.
The accompanying android walks over to the TV and presses a button. The screen flickers to life, displaying Professor Shain's face.
PROFESSOR SHAIN
The invention of reproduction would inevitably lead to the demise of humanity. Why should one invest decades of their life in raising children, only to derive minimal satisfaction from them? Why create a living being that possesses only "half" of one's qualities instead of "a completely identical creature"? Especially in an era where individualism and egotism prevail, and marriages are transient and fleeting.
The image of Professor Shain bears the inscription "June 2044" in yellow letters.
The screen transitions to black, and the android motions for them to follow her into the next room. They find themselves in a cold space adorned with metal and glass cabinets. This is a production hall featuring two large containers at its center. Tom shudders as he realizes the nature of what awaits them.
ANDROID INSTRUCTOR
You are standing in the first transcription facility created by Professor Shain in his laboratory. This facility was the precursor to a series of more sophisticated production facilities. After the war, we discovered the remnants of the facility at Professor Shain's former university and brought them here, renovating it for use as part of our museum.
On another TV screen above the empty metal and glass cabinets, Professor Shain's face appears.
