Tom
The loss is all yours. Don't forget to return.
Tom and Lara wade in the water, accompanied by sounds of joy from Tom. Lara is more introverted. She enjoys the touch of the cool water and rubs her face with her hands. She approaches her jumpsuit and skillfully washes it in the water. Tom sits naked on one of the flat rocks near the water's edge, enjoying the shade of the towering bushes. He follows Lara's tireless movements as she begins to rinse his damp, blue jumpsuit. Again and again, she submerges the jumpsuit in the water and wrings it out against the flat rock above the water's surface. He reclines on the rock, carefree, but the sun is so blinding that he covers his eyes with his arm.
FLASH BACK
INT. NIGHT. ANDROID LOGISTIC CENTER
Young Tom glides from the flying trolley, which is now inside the building. Two orange-clad androids, on their night shift, are busy cleaning the building, about twenty meters away from him. He cautiously moves under the cover of darkness and exits the building.
EXT. NIGHT. DESERT
It is a full moon night. Tom's long shadow stretches across the old, white prairie.
EXT. DAY. IN TE DESERT IN THE EVENING
A strong sandstorm darkens the sky. Young Tom climbs up the hill amidst the storm as he approaches the end of his strength. Suddenly, in the gray and gloomy light of the storm, he discovers an entrance of, it seems, an old and abandoned mine, covered with several worn out and crumbling tin plates. Tom struggles against the wind and the sand whipping him, covering his face with the cloth of his jumpsuit. Half-walking and half-running, he climbs breathlessly up the hill along a narrow path until he reaches the blocked entrance of the mine, sealed by rusty old tins. He approaches the tins and tries to remove them. Much easier than expected, he breaks apart the pile of decayed metal from the entrance of the mine and penetrates Int.
INT. DAY. AT THE ENTERANCE OF THE HUT
Tom tries to reinstall some metal sheets to block the strong gusts of wind penetrating through the entrance into the dark mine. While the wind stops whipping at him, it moves on to vent its fury on the decaying metal sheets, producing chilling creaking sounds. Only then does Tom turn his attention to his surroundings. He finds himself at the entrance of a dark and gloomy hut. Upon entering, he discovers an inner track and a cart used to transport coals that once served the furnaces. With the wind blowing his hair, he walks inside to the sound of the tin panels breaking in the entrance. As he enters, suddenly, two men and a boy emerge opposite him from the darkness, with frightened expressions, wild hair on their heads, and menacing, primitive-looking spears in their hands.
