The youngsters laugh wildly. An elderly woman with a dog approaches them. She senses that the prophet is threatened as he is surrounded, yet she cannot identify who he is. The prophet seizes the momentary silence caused by her appearance and breaks through the circle of youngsters. One of them grabs him, and the others laugh. Swiftly, Yoram pushes the young man away and runs with all his strength towards the promenade.
ANOTHER YOUNGSTER
Don't you dare come back here! Got it?!
The elderly woman stands next to them, watching with a serious gaze. Her small dog bares its teeth and growls angrily at the youths. In the meantime, the prophet reaches the stairs and rushes up towards the promenade, disappearing into the crowd as the sun sets. The youngsters retreat from the old woman’s gaze and her dog.
EXT. NIGHT. ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION CEREMONY
Hundreds of parents and students crowd the amphitheater at the center of the school, which can hardly contain all the invited guests. The students nervously pace the stairs and behind the stage, smiling with anxious excitement before the farewell ceremony. They are all dressed in white shirts and black pants or skirts. A lively Israeli folk song plays loudly in the background. The music abruptly stops. The packed audience is already seated and impatiently waiting for the ceremony to begin. Some members of the audience start clapping their hands in a steady rhythm to hasten the ceremony.
