How do religious people truly respond to this “prophet”?
ITAI HERSHKOVITZ (with genuine delight)
Initially, the prophet received very positive reactions from religious citizens who attended his speeches. However, anyone who's familiar with the content of his speeches, like I am, knows that he holds serious grievances against the religious sector and its leaders.
NEWS ANCHOR (to the Haredi Knesset Member)
And what is your current reaction?
HAREDI KNESSET MEMBER (unfazed)
Until the rabbinical leaders rule on his case, we will treat him as “respectful and suspicious”. But his secular nature already disqualifies him from being a prophet.
ITAI HERSHKOVITZ (enthusiastically)
The religious public responds positively to the “prophet”, but these are individual reactions, not the official stance of rabbis and yeshiva leaders. It'll be interesting to see their response later on. I foresee a reversal in the religious attitude toward the prophet, and as I understand it, he will face a difficult life after the Haredi rabbis impose their views on him.
