The latest economic decrees announced by the prime minister have encountered an obstacle in the shape of opposition from opposition parties. A massive demonstration by Israeli citizens is planned for the beginning of next week.
An elegantly dressed young woman, wearing an almost transparent white shirt, a flesh-colored bra, and long black pants, exits the store. She chews gum and turns towards Yoram.
SALESWOMAN (smiling)
Can I help you?
Yoram doesn't respond. He turns away and walks towards the beach. The saleswoman's smile fades, leaving her with a puzzled expression as she watches him walk away.
EXT. DAY. BEACH
Yoram crosses the road and descends to the promenade, heading towards the beach. When he reaches the edge of the sand, he takes off his sandals and walks barefoot, carrying them in his hand. On his way, he passes sunbathers with tanned bodies wearing minimal swimsuits and a couple playing matkot. The sounds of crashing waves, seagulls, and a blaring advertisement from large speakers mounted on a nearby kiosk disrupt the tranquility of the bathers. Yoram moves slowly towards the breakwater. He sits on a large stone at the edge of the breakwater, the foamy waves crashing in front of him. He closes his eyes, disconnecting from everything. The sound of loud waves fills the air, and a persistent cricket noise pierces Yoram's brain, causing him to grimace in pain.
