IRIS (angry)
I waited for you all day. Couldn't you at least pick up the phone and let me know?
Yoram raises his hand wearily.
IRIS
What happened?
YORAM (in a weakened voice)
I got fired from my job today.
Iris collapses onto the chair beside him, her hand resting on her cheek in shock. As far as she was concerned, the nightmare was becoming a reality.
IRIS (defeated)

Yoram shakes off the desolation, speaking to himself with determination.
YORAM
I won't let this break me. I'll start looking for work tomorrow morning.
