EXT. AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE PATH LEADING TO THE INSTITUTE – DAY
Akiva drives his battered Renault Clio. He arrives at the place where he last turned off the road onto the path leading to the institute.
He stops in the middle of the road and gets out of his car. The path leading off the road to the institute is now blocked by a large barrier with a sign reading “Experimental agricultural farm, private area, no entry.” Akiva approaches the gate and finds it electronically locked. Further on, on both sides of the checkpoint, there are IDF work teams putting up a high fence that stretches hundreds of meters in each direction, to prevent bypassing the checkpoint. On the checkpoint on its left side, there is a small intercom and above it a tall mast with a camera at the top that surveys the area.
On the other side of the checkpoint, there is an identical mast with another camera. The camera is adjusted towards Akiva. Akiva looks at the camera and presses the intercom button. Several seconds pass before someone comes to answer.
