Lydia disappears into one of the elevators. Lydia enters into her car, which is parked next to the large van. After few seconds, her car pulls out of the parking lot onto the road leading out, kicking up a small cloud of dust.
EXT. JUNCTION IN THE DISTANT NEGEV – AFTERNOON
Lydia stops her car when she reaches a T-junction. As soon as she turns left toward the north, she sees a Haredi soldier in dusty clothes, with a big black beard, his rifle slung carelessly over his shoulder and his personal bag lying on the road. He has a large black kippah on his head and his tassels peeking out from under his shirt. She stops the car and opens the right window of her car.
LYDIA
Where do you need to go?
AKIVA
I need to go north.
LYDIA
Come on, get in. I go to Beer Sheba.
The soldier opens the back door and puts in his bag. Then he gets into the front seat, next to Lydia. He sits down heavily.
AKIVA
Thank you very much. There are almost no cars in this area. This area is really deserted.
LYDIA
Yes, I know. Where are you from?
