In the past two months, Mount Etna in Sicily has been emitting lava and high smoke plumes. In recent days, the volcano escalated its eruption, and the lava found its way to inhabited areas of Sicily.
Mount Etna is releasing plumes of smoke into the sky, and its lava is descending into the plains of Sicily.
