Yehuda – Page 47

EXT. THICKET – EVENING

Yehuda and Tamar, wearing helmets and knit caps, ride their motorcycles through the dirt path into the dense grove. A few hundred meters inside, a winding trail runs parallel to a high concrete wall alongside the forest. Suddenly, Yehuda stops. Beneath the wall, there's a sewage drainage channel. Yehuda guides the motorcycle a few meters further into the grove, concealing it to prevent anyone from spotting it from above. He gently lays the motorcycle among some shrubs.

YEHUDA

Wait for me here. If someone comes, lie down and hide.

He approached the opening of the drainage tunnel beneath the wall. The exposed concrete was painted white and marked with the number 12. A metal latch sealed the entrance to the sewer. Yehuda moved closer to the latch and attempted to inspect it. After a few kicks, the latch broke apart and fell to the ground and the entrance to the short tunnel was revealed. He crawled down to the ground, peering into the tunnel and seeing the other side beyond the barrier. He entered and slithered inside, reaching the opposite side. He struck the latch on the other side, and after a few blows, it too came loose and fell to the ground.

A thick thorn field separates the second entrance from their way to Judea and Samaria. Suddenly, he notices that Tamar is crawling behind him.

YEHUDA

What's happening, Tamar?

TAMAR

They're behind us!
