EXT. STREET IN ROSH HA'AYIN – DAY
A police vehicle inches along the road. Crowds of citizens descend onto the road, effectively blocking it. They wave signs, and one of them carries a megaphone on his shoulder. A citizen breaks towards the police vehicle.
CITIZEN
Don't give them a state!
Another citizen holds a megaphone in his hand.
CITIZEN WITH MEGAPHONE
Enough of isolating more than half a million Israelis behind fences!
The police vehicle is stuck amidst the demonstrators, and the officer steps out, leaving Yehuda and Tamar behind. A little way back, YUSUF drives a van. He approaches the demonstration. Stepping out of the van, he goes to the man with the megaphone and snatches it from him.
YUSUF
Gentlemen! Inside this police vehicle is a soldier from our elite unit, one of our best! Due to the government's twisted policy, he was forced to live in the settlement. Now they call this excellent fighter a "defector". For what? For the sake of this twisted left-wing government that mistakenly came to power and will return us to the Oslo Accords!
The officer calls Yusuf.
OFFICER
Hey, stop with the megaphone, or I'll arrest you.
