ANNOUNCER (VOICE OVER)
In those days leading up to the declaration of independence of the State of Judea, many soldiers from families living in Judea and Samaria woke up and deserted the IDF with their weapons and equipment. These soldiers, whom the government labeled as traitors and deserters, crossed into Judea and Samaria, becoming the basis for the Judean army, most of which relied on this deserter's army. To the astonishment of the Israeli media, many in the Israeli army, even in high-ranking positions, justified the deserters' actions, and some even volunteered to join this army for ideological reasons. Consequently, the government initiated an assertive propaganda effort aimed at discouraging defection, condemning the phenomenon. Nevertheless, many in the Israeli public volunteered to help the Judean army in any way they could.

EXT. IN THE SKIES OF THE WEST BANK – NIGHT
The hum of Yehuda's engine can be heard. Seated in his cockpit, the parachute canopy above him, he soars slowly above barren hills. Here and there, faint groves are visible. In the distance, the twinkling lights of Israeli settlements in white and orange, like jewels, can be seen. Yehuda crosses the border and glides above the industrial area of Kfar Qasim. He passes over several massive industrial buildings until he spots the glowing orange light of the jeep waiting below. The flickering light of a flashlight signals that his friend Yusuf is waiting for him down there. Yehuda descends a few meters from the jeep.
