beyond the Green Line, the territories of Judea and Samaria, in exchange for international diplomatic achievements, foremost of which is a comprehensive peace agreement between the Palestinians and the Israeli government. In the area, the State of Judea is established and solidified, a de facto state of settlers. To avoid appearing as if Israel supports the State of Judea, the Prime Minister decides to distance himself from the residents of Samaria and Benjamin and to close the borders between the West Bank and Israel. He imposes an arms embargo on the settler population and even demands exit visas from them. The settlers are organizing to establish an independent, self-governing entity, not recognized by any state or organization in the world, and they still need to prove that they can overcome the Palestinians in the territory known as the West Bank.
EXT. BLOCKED GATE – NIGHT
The convoy approaches the blocked gate, comprising Yehuda's car and the patrol of the settlers. High-wired fences are positioned on both sides of the gate. Before the gate, there is a wide area of several meters. The gate itself is made of metal, about three meters high, and there's a high wire fence behind it. The convoy stops about twenty meters from the gate. Yehuda parks his jeep closer to the gate. A spotlight illuminates the gate area. As the vehicles approach the gate, the searchlight on the tower above it is turned on at full intensity, lighting up the area. Yehuda gets out of his jeep and stands in front of the gate.
