INT. IN A CAFE – IN THE AFTERNOON
Reuven is sitting in a neighborhood cafe with a girl who seems lifeless, as if she has no motivation or interest in anything. Her cousin sits across from them, keeping a watchful eye. Reuven scratches his neck uncomfortably as the waiter serves coffee and cookies.
REUVEN
So how are you, Nurit?
NURIT
Everything is fine, a bit boring.
Reuven tries to engage her.
REUVEN
Why boring? Life is interesting.
NURIT
You, not me.
REUVEN
So what interests you?
NURIT
My wedding. That’s what interests me. to have a husband and four children, a beautiful apartment…
REUVEN
Are you not interested in learning something? developing yourself?
NURIT
I want to study design in order to design my own house.
REUVEN
I understand.
