This is a blessing from the dawn blessing. Jews are supposed to say it every morning.
The woman ignores what Yechiel says.
WOMAN
What do you have?
YECHIEL
Complicated appendicitis attack.
WIFE
God bless you.
YECHIEL
you too. you too.
Yechiel turns his back to the woman and her husband and closes his eyes. Just then doctor Lydia enters with two of the ward nurses. She turns to Yahiel.
LYDIA
I came to check on you, don’t sleep, lunch will be soon.
Yechiel opens his eyes, he hasn’t had time to fall asleep yet. It is evident that he likes Lydia.
LYDIA
You’ll be fine.
She sneers over him and puts her hand on his shoulder. A stream of energy passes between them.
YECHIEL
Thank you doctor, is that you who operated on me?
LYDIA
Yes.
YECHIEL
So you’ve seen my insides, now you’ll have to see my outsides.
Lydia laughs.
