They see in the distance two figures of “creatures” standing there, their red eyes piercing the darkness of the mountain. They have never seen “creatures” at work before. Akiva breaks away from them and looks towards the surface of the bubbling yellow liquid and tries to see what is happening beneath the bubbling yellow layer, but he sees nothing.
AKIVA
I hope the cameras on our heads are indeed filming.
KFIR
Don’t worry.
The creatures discover them and signal them with vigorous hand gestures. Kfir touches Akiva’s hand, distracting him back to the creatures. At this point, Akiva and Kfir do not understand what the “creatures” want. A few minutes later, Akiva and Kfir descend the stairs from the top of the hill back to the ground of the greenhouse. Their feet are again pounding on the mountain soil. Just before they leave the area of the transparent sheets, Akiva suddenly stops. Kfir stops too.
KFIR (ALMOST BEGGING)
Let’s get out of here before the creatures chase us.
AKIVA (CALMLY)
The “creature” we spoke to told us that we could look at everything we found, but not to touch anything.
Kfir resumes his walk and exits through the gate.
