LYDIA (TREMBLED)
Have you tried all these places on your body?
AKIVA
Yes, Lydia. I didn’t see a problem with that.
LYDIA (RAISING HER VOICE)
You have broken all our rules. I will have to consult Reuven about your case. That was never the purpose of hiring you at the institute.
She looks at Akiva again and trembles, Akiva’s aura growing, and now that she is aware of this for the first time. Alarm sounds suddenly rise from the secretary’s station. She stops the conversation and goes to the security screens. Dozens of protesters are trying to move the gate from its place. The police are nowhere to be found, but several soldiers standing on the other side of the gate stand helplessly with their weapons.
The gate is almost moved. Lydia picks up the phone to Reuven in Jerusalem.
LYDIA (ALMOST SHOUTING)
They are breaking down our gate!
REUVEN (VOICE OVER)
I’m sorry, aren’t there any police there?
LYDIA
No, there are soldiers, but they won’t shoot at civilians!
