The Institute 6 – Page 30

He shows Kfir the palm he pulled out of the fire. There are no signs on it that would have affected its condition.

AKIVA

Bring the drone, we’ll take a picture of the fire from above.

Kfir comes down the hill and only Akiva is left standing there. When Kfir comes out of the greenhouse to the scooter to start the drone, Akiva puts his hand into the green flames again, this time for a longer time. He looks thoughtful as he looks at his glowing yellow hand.

INT. BEDROOM IN AKIVA’S HOUSE – NIGHT

Akiva sits on the bed, restless, in a dark room except for a tiny night light. On the other side of the bed, his wife Rachel lies on the bed, covered with her blanket.

RACHEL (IN A QUIET VOICE)

What’s wrong with you?

AKIVA

I’m having a hard time sleeping.

RACHEL

I don’t know why you’re so restless, but since you came back to me, at the end of the week, I must say that you look better, more radiant. What is it about the institute that does this to you?
