VARDA

Kudos to you for standing your ground. Take me, for example, I’m divorced and I also think I’m older than you in a few years. But I am beautiful and smart. I have certificate of matriculation and I am now studying computer programming. Does it seem to you that you can choose a partner that is considered a pile of ruins in terms of the minister’s family?

MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR

How are you, Varda? did you come to corrupt the “kid”?

INT. IN LYDIA’S WARD AT THE HOSPITAL – IN THE AFTERNOON

Lydia sits with some nurses, having afternoon tea, suddenly Yechiel entered.

LYDIA

What a surprise?

She got up from her seat at the table. Yechiel takes Lydia’s hand, she stands towards him and he hugs and kisses her warmly.

LYDIA

how did you get here?

Yechiel shows her a car key and smiles.

YECHIEL

I got a car of my own and a renewed position.

LYDIA

from whom?

YECHIEL

I work for the Ministry of Religion now.

The group of nurses are amazed by the conversation.

YECHIEL

Now we have an unresolved issue here with vanilla ice cream with cherries…
