And how do you survive here?

YECHIEL

From hand to mouth, I still have a few cans here and the rations that the soldiers left for me, there is still water here, no more electricity. I arranged a makeshift bed for myself from blankets, I have a shower when I want to shower, In the purification rooms. (Silence). and I still have some savings although I am unemployed.

REUVEN

I told the rabbis about everything we went through together.

YECHIEL

Really? and how did they react?

REUVEN

You will be surprised, they all appreciate you very much, for that that you revealed the idea of “you blew into me”, Also on this that you stayed here alone to look after the institute as well when you were unemployed and the institute was abandoned.

Yechiel smiles sadly.

YECHIEL

Lydia comes here once a week with groceries, clean laundry and stays with me all Shabbat. She asks me to stop this madness about the institute and that I will go back to living with her in Beer Sheva, but I’m not ready. even if I have no money at all.

REUVEN

The rabbis changed their minds from one end to the other. they all agree that it is very important to maintain the institute. At the end of the discussion they decided that I will focus on the topic.
