From who?

NAVEH

From your lecturer, your friends. We also talked to your mother.

YECHIEL

I am simply studying the history of the Land of Israel, third year.

NAVEH

This is a job offer. There are not many job offers on the market for history students. Take it with both hands. Apart from that, you will be a partner in a groundbreaking and top secret archaeological project. You must maintain confidentiality at the highest level. Are you ready for it?

YECHIEL

Sounds exciting.

NAVEH

I speak from experience, this is a very heavy burden.

Naveh falls silent for a few seconds, to let Yechiel understand and internalize.

NAVEH

You will live in a remote corner of the remote Negev, in an isolated institute that we are building. You will not be able to come and go like in a normal job. You will have several friends and girlfriends, partners like you in this secret work, and these will be your life. You will not lack money, but you will only be able to spend it on vacations, because you will live at the same institute in the Negev all week and only leave there on holidays, weekends and vacations… all expenses will be on us, accommodation, food, entertainment and reading. You will only have to work, for the sake of the State of Israel. Are you a good fit for us?
