MOSES

That’s a good idea, but before I widen the wall, I would break through another point, a few meters from here. This will allow us to estimate the size of the “creature.”

EXT.DAY. NEAR THE MOUNTAIN.

About twenty meters from the cave entrance, the tractor approaches, scraping against the mountain. Once again, the wall of earth is exposed. The tractor stops. Moses approaches the wall and grabs it with his hands. Once again, the wall of scales is exposed.

MOSES

Let’s try another twenty meters.

After two more excavations, Moses says.

MOSES

I don’t understand this. There’s about eighty meters here. I don’t recognize any prehistoric creature of this size. The freshness, the vitality of the scales, is also strange, as if the creature is still alive.

He stops and dials his phone.

LIEUTENANT (WITH A LACK OF TACT)

Who?

MOSES

To my zoology professor. (waits a moment), Hello?

THE ZOOLOGIST (VOICE OVER)

Yes?
