Cinematic Glossary<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n Script writing always occurs within the contemporary time frame, fueled by guided imagination. The following cinematic terms are used to describe various situations in the script:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n INT <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Internal scene (Home, Car, Spaceship, Etc…)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n EXT <\/span><\/span><\/strong>External scene (Beach, Street, etc…)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n VOICE OVER <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Hearing the actor's voice while the previous scene continues to be displayed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n CUT TO <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Abruptly transitioning from the current scene to the next.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n FADE OUT <\/span><\/span><\/strong> The image gradually fades until it disappears.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n FADE IN <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Starting with a blurry image that slowly comes into focus.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n FLASHBACK <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Portraying a scene from the past or future.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n END FLASHBACK <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Returning to the present time of the script.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n SUPERIMPOSE <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Overlaying one photo or video onto another, creating a simultaneous appearance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n ZOOM IN <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Moving the camera closer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n ZOOM OUT <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Moving the camera away.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n BLACK SCREEN <\/span><\/span><\/strong>A few seconds of a black screen, symbolizing a disconnection and transition to the next scene.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n\n And now, onto the script…<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Cinematic Glossary Script writing always occurs within the contemporary time frame, fueled by guided imagination.
