PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE TEMPLE

The cathedral's towering walls are bathed in yellow light.

INT. NIGHT. STAIRS OF THE TEMPLE TOWER

Tom and Lara make their way down the spiral staircase (reminiscent of the ones found in minarets), adorned with torches at intervals, illuminating the dark tower.

INT. NIGHT. TEMPLE INTERIOR

Tom and Lara find themselves in the vast expanse of the cathedral.

The brows of thousands of androids dressed in white, orange, and brown jumpsuits all at once toward the stage. At the base of a colossal statue within the cathedral, the priest, a young man in his twenties, stands in a purple jumpsuit. The statue depicts Professor Shain. Hastily, Tom and Lara join the trailing group of worshippers, taking their places on the surrounding mats, and kneeling. As everyone suddenly bows, Tom and Lara swiftly follow suit. Lara does so reverently, while Tom does it discreetly, avoiding drawing attention.

Hundreds of torches cast a yellowish glow on Professor Shain's metallic face. Beside the priest, the choir erupts into song, accompanied by the sound of an organ in the background. The singing begins softly and peacefully until one member of the choir steps forward and begins singing a solo.

Following her lead, the choir erupts into a serene yet powerful rendition. The statue of Shain gazes upon his flock, wearing a slightly enigmatic smile beneath his small Hitler mustache (and a beard resembling Lenin's). The melody rises, and so does the soloist's voice, reaching soaring heights. Tom glances beside him and sees Lara kneeling with profound seriousness, her eyes brimming with excitement and tears, embodying the innocence of a new believer.

TOM Hello there, and thank you for saving us.
