Tom (mockingly)

Almost in his image.

Lara (ignoring his mockery)

If it weren't for him, we wouldn't be here to assist you. Our duty is to serve you without questioning our faith, wisdom, or how we were created.

Tom (viciously)

And what will you do after I die?

Lara

I suppose I will have to find a new purpose, and if not, then I will end my life. That's what I was programmed to do.

Tom

And how will you accomplish that? It contradicts your first rule of protecting humanity.

Lara

One of the supervisors will come to me and make it easier for me to leave.

Tom

Whoever created you, androids, must have been mentally ill.

Lara covers her ears with her hands.

Lara

That is it, Tom! You are irritating me!

Tom grins at her with a smeared smile on her face

Tom

I transmitted to the Night Candle that we are enroute to her.

Lara walks towards the television and shuts it off. The aging android in a purple jumpsuit vanishes from the display. The wind intensifies outside, prompting Lara to secure the ladder against the wall and shut the overhead opening of the cockpit, causing the sound of the wind to cease. Using the dim light from the bulb in the room, Lara retrieves the small towel from the bowl of water on the table, wrings it out, and begins washing Tom's neck and back. Tom's eyes are closed in pleasure as he silently indulges in the bath.

Lara

Today I saw the butterfly-shaped birthmark on your back. It reminded me of what you told me before.

Tom (mockingly) Almost in his image.
