The script of the Institute begins with the scene of finding the cave. The initial image I had in my mind was that they found inside the mountain a huge buried city made up of glass covers and turquoise blue lighting. The story was stuck, the reference was to the people who discovered the mountain, who made money and the power struggles that lead them to finally corrupt all the greediness of the mountain.
I was missing something, I didn't want to spoil the story only about power and interests, although such an international series could certainly be reasonable. Once I inserted the Israeli-Jewish story into our script, everything worked out. The plot and characters began to breathe and develop.
I like the script because it is surreal and sharp and combines in a night of Judaism, history, the Land of Israel and faith, and this mix proved to be very original.
In these days of many becoming stronger in faith (following the war and the divine miracle we had that we did not perish despite our 1400 spaces) I am happy that I am the little one contributing my part in the original Jewish Israeli culture and yes, the ideas in the script are really sublime but they are still all surreal.
Another thing I'm proud of is the fourth and last part of the plot that takes place in the Israeli Knesset. In direct reference to the unrest that has been here for the past two years, the mountain inside is also turbulent with wars between demons and angels.
I am proud of the script, the original ideas in it and also a bit of real Israeli science fiction-imagination with a nod to what is happening in the nation today.
In these days of war, a little patience and tolerance for each other will not hurt. There will be time for reckoning after the war and in Israel's victory over all its enemies we will be comforted.
